Alarming Increase in Monsoon-Related Deaths in Nepal Over Past Decade

In a troubling trend, it has been reported that more than 3,000 individuals have succumbed to monsoon-related disasters in Nepal over the course of a decade. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority has raised concerns and issued a cautionary statement on Monday regarding the escalating risks of floods, landslides, heavy rainfall, and avalanche incidents, resulting in the deaths of 3,074 people from 2073 to 2082 as per the 'Monsoon Preparedness and Response National Action Plan-2083'.
