Property Evaluation Commission: Assessment to Clarify Property Details for at Least 25,000 Individuals, Notice Issued for Submission Delay

The Property Evaluation Commission, under the chairmanship of former Supreme Court Justice Rajendrakumar Bhandari, issued a notice to clarify property details within 30 days starting from the beginning of the month of Baisakh. The commission will collect and evaluate property details of political figures, civil servants, and their families who held public positions from the fiscal year 2062/2063 to 2082/2083, both domestically and internationally. In a recent statement to the media, the commission spokesperson revealed that some individuals in public roles or civil service have been called upon to provide explanations regarding any "unnaturally acquired property," with some penalties already imposed. During the initial phase of evaluation, around 13,300 civil servants from various organizations at the federal and provincial levels are expected to provide their property details. According to information obtained by media sources, at least 3,000 individuals from retired civil service, police, and judicial sectors are required to fill out property evaluation forms as part of the ongoing assessment.
