Inspiring Journey: Nisha Sunar's Success in Football Despite Challenges
Nisha Sunar once dreamt of building a career in football and today, she is a successful player who has received numerous accolades. Despite having worked in the former Maoist People's Liberation Army during the conflict, she decided to pursue her passion for sports, leaving her past behind. Sunar, who plays as a forward for the Nepal Police women's football team, expressed gratitude for the opportunities her talent has brought her. Recently, she clinched the title of the best player in the 'Pokhara Women's Gold Cup 2083' tournament, a significant achievement for her. Sunar's journey in football began with her participation in the 'Kam Back' game, shortly after becoming a mother. Recognized as a familiar face in women's football, she previously won the 'Best Player' accolade at the Nepal Police in 2070. Despite facing challenges as a 'Kam Back' player in football, Sunar returned to training just three months after giving birth and dedicatedly worked towards honing her skills. She credits her husband's support for enabling her to continue pursuing her passion for the sport. Sunar's daughter, who is now 15 months old, has been a source of motivation for her to excel in the game.
