Tripartite Agreement for 'Floodlight' Installation at Mechi Rangashala Brings New Opportunities

In a significant development, the historical Mechi Rangashala in Bhadrapur is gearing up to host nighttime sporting activities with the installation of floodlights. The Koshi Province government has allocated a budget of NPR 30.5 million for the fiscal year 2082/83 to kickstart this initiative, marking a positive step towards revitalizing the sports arena. Known for hosting international football tournaments and annual district-level President Running Shield competitions, Mechi Rangashala is poised to transform into a state-of-the-art and technology-equipped sports facility. The tripartite agreement between the Ministry of Drinking Water, Irrigation and Energy, Bhadrapur Municipality, and Jhapa District Sports Development Committee sets the stage for this transformation, bringing hope for a vibrant sports culture in the region.
