'जनताले आशापूर्ण भविष्यको दिशा हेर्न सक्छन्'

In Kathmandu, amidst the backdrop of alternative politics, Samikshya Baskota has navigated numerous challenges, embodying resilience over the past decade. She has not wavered in her political convictions, values, credibility, and steadfast beliefs, which have paved the way for her to assume the responsibility of chairing the Parliamentary Committee on Law, Justice, and Human Rights for the first time. Feeling an increased sense of responsibility from the previous term, Baskota finds it easier to raise diverse issues of change while facing the more daunting task of delivery. She confidently states, "We have a government under our leadership. It is imperative for us to move forward responsibly. While raising voices of change on the streets was relatively easy, delivering on those promises is a heavier burden. However, we must strive to make it easier." Having highlighted key political issues during the past 10 years, Baskota's advocacy has contributed to a transformation in politics, the eradication of corruption, establishment of good governance, and improvement in the service delivery system. Now that she is in Parliament, she aims to work towards reforms in these areas. The credibility of the review lies in the anticipation that when service delivery improves, governance is established, and corruption is eradicated, citizens will feel the impact in their search for delivery and the realization of a well-governed state in every household. However, Baskota acknowledges the complexity within our laws, noting that there are many loopholes. She emphasizes the need to simplify all issues by working in a more simplified manner as Members of Parliament. The parliamentary practice for reviews has become new and significantly important. A Member of Parliament can undertake many constructive works in a policy-focused manner. In this respect, Baskota has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of chairing the Parliamentary Committee on Law, Justice, and Human Rights. She understands the importance of a mini-parliament. She envisions creating a conducive environment to establish laws that will shape the country's bright future, emphasizing that in the next 20 years, rather than 10, we should be determined to take the state forward. With the Constitution providing rights, fundamental principles, human rights issues, and the status of justice administration, Baskota is committed to studying and streamlining these aspects to establish good governance with an Arjuna's vision to move forward. This term's review is particularly special, with elections scheduled for 2084 BS following the Jangi Andolan on Bhadra 23 and 24. Jenjee's movement addressed the demands for governance and the end of corruption, which the committed party had taken up.
