Kathmandu: In a significant move, two female security personnel, Inspector Sherpa and Havaldar Anita Karki, who climbed the world's highest peaks, Sagarmatha and Lhotse, have been promoted to higher ranks. Inspector Sherpa's promotion process to Assistant Inspector has been expedited, while Havaldar Karki will be promoted to Assistant Havaldar after a certain period as Assistant Inspector. During an event held on Jestha 8 at the Nepal Police Headquarters in Halchok, the Chief of Armed Police Force Nepal, Narayan Datt Paudel, highlighted the successful climbing achievements of the two security personnel. Chief Paudel praised Inspector Sherpa and Havaldar Karki for their successful climbs on the world's highest peaks and encouraged them to proudly represent the nation and organization's flag at the summit. He emphasized that their Himalayan expeditions have not only boosted the morale of all security personnel but have also instilled courage, inspiration, and enthusiasm. Both Sherpa and Karki were commended during the event for their successful climbs and were thanked for their cooperation, coordination, and support in achieving this milestone.
