Suspected Attacker Shot Near White House by Secret Service Agents
In the vicinity of the White House in the United States, Secret Service agents have reportedly shot a suspicious individual who fired a gun at a security booth. The officials approached the individual, who raised concerns, near a checkpoint close to the presidential residence and discharged a firearm in the security booth. The agents promptly responded with gunfire, resulting in injuries to the suspected attacker and a person who was potentially in close proximity. The alleged attacker was subsequently taken to a hospital where reports indicate they succumbed to their injuries. Following the incident, journalists were provided with secure shelter inside the White House for their safety. At the time, President Trump was inside the White House. The shooting incident occurred a month after a gun was fired by an armed individual at a dinner attended by journalists and government officials at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.
