Exciting Possibilities for the Release Date of Ranveer's 'Ramayana'
Mumbai - The release date of the Ranveer Kapoor starrer film 'Ramayana: Part One' could be advanced to a week before the festival of Diwali in 2026, as reported by a Bollywood entertainment source. The producers are keen on starting the film's screening earlier than initially planned, aiming to generate positive audience feedback and further increase the film's commercial success in the second week. The final decision regarding the release date is expected to be made promptly by reliable sources. Once the distribution rights are finalized, an official announcement can be anticipated. According to reports, the producers have received an offer of 450 crore Indian Rupees from top distributors. Previously, during Hanuman Jayanti, the first look of Ranveer portraying Lord Ram in the film was unveiled, showcasing him in a divine and serene avatar. In this film, Ranveer Kapoor will be seen as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravan, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. Notably, Arun Govil, who portrayed Ram in the famous 1987 TV show 'Ramayan', will feature as King Dasharath in this film. The total budget of the film is estimated to be around 4,000 crore Indian Rupees, positioning it among the most expensive films in Indian cinema. Nitesh Tiwari is directing the film, having previously created the highly profitable Indian film 'Dangal'. The film's music will be composed by Oscar winner AR Rahman and Hollywood composer Hans Zimmer. The film is being produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios, DNEG, and Yash's Monster Mind Creations, and is set to be released in IMAX technology. The visual effects work for the film is being handled by Oscar-winning studios DNEG and Prime Focus. 'Ramayana' will be released in two parts, with the first part scheduled for release during Diwali 2026, and the second part in Diwali 2027.
