Decision by Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) to Return Donated Land for Construction of New Office Building.
The Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) has made a decision to construct a new office building in Balkhu. The decision was reached during a recent secretariat meeting held today. Secretary Lekhraj Bhatta expressed gratitude to the donors, Meen Bahadur Gurung and his spouse, for their proposal to build a building in Kalanki and announced the return of their proposal with thanks. The decision has been made to construct the new office building in Madannagar, Balkhu. Bhatta also mentioned that a report has been received indicating the feasibility of building the new structure on land owned by the party in Madannagar. The agreement to donate a building worth one billion rupees to the Maoists, who had been staying in Chyasal since 2078 BS, was previously consented to by Gurung. Accordingly, on the 81st of Ashoj, former Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli and the Gurung couple laid the foundation stone for the building.
